Angry Birds Rio Golden Pineapples

In the original Angry Birds it was all about golden eggs. The idea behind the original game was of course to complete all the levels, then players would try and get 3 stars on each level. Then of course the is the challenge of finding all the golden eggs. On Angry Birds Rio the game is set up a little differently. There are certain awards you can achieve. On the first world which is known as Smugglers Den, there are 15 gold pineapples hiding. If you can find all 15 of these pineapples you win an award.

Angry Birds Rio is very closely based on the original game. We have all the same characters and the same style of game play. There are just a few new locations and some new enemies to contend with. There are currently 60 levels available to play on Angry Birds Rio, new levels are coming out in May. The two worlds currently available are Smugglers Den and Jungle Escape. Each world has 2 episodes and 15 levels per episode. All in all there are 180 gold stars up for grabs on Angry Birds Rio.

As well as completing the levels and trying to get as many stars as possible, players can now also attempt to find all 15 golden pineapples on Smugglers Den and all 15 Gold Bananas on Jungle Escape. In this article we will concentrate on the pineapples. Some are quite easy to find and you will naturally come across them as you play the game whereas some are very well hidden and you may need a little help finding them. So below is a collection of screenshots from 15 different levels. The golden pineapples are highlighted in a yellow ring, there is also a brief description of how exactly to obtain each pineapple.

In the box behind the birds, zoom out and then shoot backwards.

In the large crate over on the right.

Level 1-7

Hiding in the crate on the bottom right.

Level 1-8

Zoom out on the pineapple is in the package on the right.

Level 1-12

Top right with the other pineapples.

Level 1-13

The crate on the far bottom right.

Level 2-1

Peeking out of the top of the lamp, fire one up and backwards.

Level 2-2

In the large crate, clear out as many blocks as possible then with the last shot fire a high one to come down onto the crate.

Level 2-4

High up in the crate, use a yellow birds to get up there,

Level 2-6

High above the birds, you can hit the near lamp and get it to swing into the pineapple.

Level 2-7

Hidden in one of the bottom crates.

Level 2-10

Zoom out and it is located high suspended by chains, use a yellow birds for this one.

Level 2-12

Hiding on the bottom right, a tricky one to get, knock blocks down onto this one.

Behind the launch pad, try and get this one with a yellow bird.
