New Lego Batman Sets For 2012 - Lego Superheroes Marvel Range

We have seen Batman Lego before, Lego brought out various sets between 2006 and 2008. However, in the summer of 2011 Lego signed a massive new deal with Marvel comics giving them the chance to turn all our well known heroes into Lego form. One of these is of course Batman, so Lego have completely revamped the range and have come up with a new range of Batman Lego for 2012, so let’s take a look at it.

So first up we have a brand new Batcave. This set has the item number 6860 and is the largest of the new toys we are seeing brought out in January 2012. This will feature an estimated 690 pieces and will cost around the $70 mark. We will also get five new minifigures with the Batcave and these will be Batman, Robin, Bane, Poison Ivy and Bruce Wayne. The toy will feature a prison, a garage, an elevator, the bat computer and a batcycle. This is expected to be one of the big sellers from the range and will no doubt look very nice if you get quite a few of the Lego Batman minifigures.

We are also getting another Batmobile. The title of this new set will be The Batmobile and Two-Face Chase. This set has the item number 6864 and will feature 531 pieces. The price of this one is thought to be in the region of around $60. As well as the Batmobile there will also be a replica of Two-Face’s getaway car. With this one you get another Batman minifigure, Two-Face, his henchmen and a police officer. The idea behind most of these new Batman toys is that there is to be a brand new Batman film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, which will be brought out in the summer of 2012. The hype around this film will no doubt increase interest in Batman and thus help Lego to sell more of these toys.

We are also going to see Batwing Battle hit the shops in January. This is another completely new toy again from the Superheroes line of Lego. Batwing Battle has the item number 6863 and will contain 278 pieces. At first glance it does look very similar to the Batwing brought out in 2006 but there are a few noticeable differences. The price of this one is going to be around $30. With this set you will get a Batman minifigure, the Joker and also the Joker’s henchmen.

Lego are also bringing out some Catwoman Lego. The name of this set will be Catwoman’s Catcycle. This is the smallest of the new toys and only contains 89 pieces. This has the item number 6858 and will be around the $12 mark. With this one you just get two minifigures and these will be another Batman and also Catwoman.

As well as these four Batman Lego sets there is also a range of Superhero Minifigures that are coming out in January. These will feature various characters from the Marvel line and we will see Batman characters such Robin, Batman, The Joker, and The Penguin to name a just few. This range of toys looks like it will be very popular with children the world over.

So Lego are going to release four new Lego toys in January 2012, but they are also releasing some new Ultrabuild toys. Two of these are Batman themed. An Ultrabuild is basically a larger model of a certain character, the two that we are going to see are Batman and The Joker. The Batman Ultrabuild has the item number 4526 and will contain 40 pieces. This one will cost around $15 and the idea behind it is that you can either follow the instructions and build the model as seen in the picture or you can create your own model.

The Joker has the item number 4527 and will contain 57 pieces. Again the price will be at $15. The Joker Ultrabuild comes with a very colorful outfit and a big laser gun. These new Batman Lego toys for 2012 are expected to be massive sellers and the hype around ’The Dark Knight Rising’ looks set to increase the popularity of these new toys. Lego are also releasing various other new sets from the Superheroes range and there are various characters such as Superman and Spiderman that we are all going to recognise.
